Foreign Policy

Ever since Bernie Sanders has been asked more often on the topic of foreign policy, people have been left with more questions than answers. Instead of answering questions posed to him by critics and others, he has been giving us answers, but not ones that answer the questions being posed, such as questions on what he would do differently than Hillary Clinton about Syria, or when he would use offensive force. This has been inspiring controversy among supporters and non-supporters, leading some to question exactly how prepared he is to take the role of president.

  1. That's interesting, you would think that he'd address most of the questions being asked, and ensure he and everybody else is on the same page. From reading the article I can see how Sanders didn't quite answer the questions being addressed, and how he basically contradicted himself.

  2. Throughout the presidential campaign, I'm starting to see a pattern. Either questions are being answered vaguely, or they are answered and people are offended. That may contribute to why questions are vaguely answered, they might be afraid that if they do answer it, would they go down in the poll or go up.

    1. You make a good point! After reading the article, it seems like Sanders answered vaguely. I think that the fear of answering such questions kind of just goes for everyone though because it is in our nature to care about other's opinions. I think Sanders probably meant well and intended to answer more than he stated, but in a presidential campaign, especially, candidates not only have to be aware of WHAT they say but also HOW they say it.

  3. It seems to me that Sanders isn't entirely sure himself, he seems to be focusing on other problems, perhaps he doesn't have a strict foreign policy plan in place. He seems to be focusing on internal matters anyhow.
